# How to create a wallet in Liquidus

1. Liquidus is a non-custodial wallet that enables you to access Decentralised Finance. Non-custodial means that only you have access to the seed phrase and private keys to unlock your wallet. You can always be sure that your funds in the Liquidus wallet are safe and secure as long as you keep your keys private.
2. To create a wallet, download the app first from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
3. Read through the onboarding features that describe what you can do with Liqudius (besides storing your tokens safely)
4. On the screen “Private and secure”, click the button “Create new wallet”.
5. Confirm to write down your seed phrase on paper and store it in a secure place. Liquidus doesn’t keep a copy of your seed phrase.
6. On the next page, it shows you your personal 12-word seed phrase. Write it down and click “Continue”.
7. To make sure you have access to your seed phrase, enter it in the right order and click “Continue”.
8. Read and agree to our legal documents such as the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Risk Disclaimer.
9. As a final step, you can optionally subscribe to the Liquidus Insider newsletter. On the first accession, it provides you with some tutorial emails to go around in the app and later keeps you up to date regarding new app features.
10. Enter a pin code to protect your wallet from unauthorized access. Confirm it a second time.
11. Done! You have created a new wallet with Liquidus.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.liquidus.finance/liquidus-wallet-app/create-and-import-a-wallet-or-account/how-to-create-a-wallet-in-liquidus.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
